The chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax, and customs policy insists on the adoption of the law. On January 13, the official government website announced the possibility of changing the way of working of taxi drivers. The finance, tax, and customs policy committee will invite the ministry of infrastructure to consider a project on taxi fiscalization in Ukraine.
Let us remind that fiscalization is the process of introducing a cash register or a fiscal register into business activity. This enables the tax inspectorate to obtain data on the income of entrepreneurs. From 1 January 2022, the use of cash registers is mandatory for:
- Food shops, as well as household goods and clothing ones;
- Online shopping;
- Catering establishments;
- Tour operators;
- Hotels;
- Jewelry stores, fabric stores.
Hired vehicles are now on the list. The ministry of infrastructure is currently reviewing the document. The taxi market will be the last at this stage of tax control. Since the government had implemented the minimum program for 2022 and now was planning to resolve all possible issues in the area of business identity.
There is a high probability that the taxi law will be passed. It is expected that the amendments to their operation may enter into force as early as the end of January. The chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax, and customs policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, also insists on this.
"I think we’ll see it in January. I demand its creation," said Hetmantsev.
