The Government has Increased Funding for Social Programs in 2022 by $274 Million

The government has approved a realistic and balanced draft state budget for 2022

"The social component of the budget through careful and targeted planning of social spending allows us to help more people with limited resources and implement all socially significant programs," said Marina Lazebna, minister of social policy.

Pension provision remains a priority for the Government. This, including:

- indexation of pensions from March 1, which will finally take place for all retirees under the same rules;

- surcharges for military retirees;

- recalculation of pensions for liquidators of the Chernobyl accident;

- expansion of the President's program on age supplements to pensions, which will be extended to pensioners aged 70-75 next year;

- invest.com/investing-in-ukraine/starting-business-in-ukraine/start-a-company/" rel="dofollow">establishment of minimum pension payment for people over the age of 70 with full service at the level of 3000.

The subsidy program increases by $120 million.

The program of social protection of the citizens affected by the Chornobyl catastrophe grows to almost $112 million.

The draft budget approved by the Government also envisages the development of social services, rehabilitation programs, in particular, for children, and the development of a barrier-free society.
