Swedish defence minister Paul Johnson said that his country continued to support Ukraine in our struggle for independence. According to his statement to the Council of the European Union, the Swedish authorities plan to consider providing modern weapons. The politician refused to answer journalists' questions about the type and quantity of these weapons. Johnson noted that these are the most advanced systems but will not be named because of operational secrecy.
However, Johnson told about the 2nd part of the military support package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces — a training camp for Ukrainian soldiers.
"We intend to return as soon as possible to support further Ukraine — both political, financial, and military spheres," Paul Johnson.
In addition, Sweden will join the EU mission, which has organized military training for the Ukrainian military since the summer. The defence minister stressed that the country is ready to send two officers to support the training mission for Ukrainian soldiers.
Ukraine is grateful to Sweden for its active support and assistance in advancing the army in the liberation of the territories. During the 9 months of the war, Sweden handed Ukraine various weapons in 7 packages of military support. They included demining equipment, anti-tank weapons, machine guns, ammunition, etc.
