Ukraine and Poland Can Give Up Borders

The president of Poland proposed the formation of a Ukrainian-Polish alliance to strengthen military and state positions

On 5 May, in an open address, Polish President Ajay Duda announced the strengthening of a new geopolitical force. The politician hinted at the need to combine efforts to build a peaceful life and confront the enemies.

"Between our countries — Poland and Ukraine — there will be no more border. This border will not be! To live together on this earth, building and restoring together our common happiness and common power, which will allow us to repel any danger or any possible threat," said Duda.

Ukrainians and residents of Poland considered this statement positive. However, several Russian propagandists presented this information differently. The Russian Federation declares that Poland intends to annex the western part of Ukraine — "to return the historical borders".

However, it is worth considering that the relations between Poland and Ukraine have been strengthened in all spheres of foreign policy in recent years. Poland was one of the first countries to open its borders to refugees. Ukraine also receives humanitarian and military assistance from a friendly neighboring country.

Earlier, the Polish state handed over 200 tanks to Ukraine and announced assistance in the country's defense. So Russia’s following words are probably faked to destabilize society and good relations with other countries. However, the destruction of the borders between Ukraine and Poland is still unknown. It could be a military-political alliance or a new security organization.
