The Russian occupiers are constantly shelling the largest nuclear power plant in Europe — the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in the city of Energodar. The explosion at the Zaporizhzhia station will lead to a catastrophe, the scale of which is equal to the area of 3 Ukraines. Essential to understand that Ukraine is the largest country in Europe. Using ZNPP as an instrument of nuclear terrorism, Russia blackmails all of Europe.
On August 15, the Ukrainian parliament voted to condemn Russia's nuclear terrorism at the international level. To this end, Ukraine will send an official appeal to all member states of the IAEA, the UN, the EU, the European Council, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. The Parliament of Ukraine calls for condemning the act of nuclear terrorism committed by Russia against the nuclear power plant seized by Russian forces and for the application of sanctions against the Russian nuclear industry. First of all, the sanctions should concern the Rosatom corporation, as well as the enterprises and organizations that are part of it. We remind you that Rosatom is now working on disconnecting the Zaporizhzhia NPP from the Ukrainian power system and switching to the Russian one. This crime increases the fact that it will be impossible to reconnect the stolen Ukrainian NPP to Ukraine.
Ukraine calls on the governments of the IAEA member states to appeal to the IAEA General Conference with a request to suspend Russia's rights and privileges in the IAEA and to deprive the country-terrorist of the right to vote.
