Ukraine-EU Digital Signature Unification

From now on, through "Diia", Ukrainians can use a digital signature according to the European eIDAS standard

The Ministry of digital transformation reported that beta testing of the international digital signature started in Ukraine on April 3. From now on, Ukrainians in Europe can sign documents using Diia.Signature-EU, which is certified according to the eIDAS European regulation. Due to this update, Diia users (and this is almost the entire adult population of Ukraine) were able to notarise documents abroad, and European institutions to check the original signature.

"Mutual recognition of electronic signatures with the EU is an essential part of digital European integration," Mykhailo Fedorov, minister of digital transformation of Ukraine.

To use Diia.Signature-EU, update Diia and the application will automatically create a signature according to two standards Ukrainian DSTU and international ECDSA.

"The process has not changed. 1 click of the eyes, the biometrics of the face is checked with the biometrics in the register — and you conclude an online contract with foreign partners, sign a statement, etc.," Mykhailo Fedorov.

You can join the beta testing on the ID-gov.ua (ICEI) and Vchasno (document management service) portals.
