Ukraine has approved its first export of complete domestically produced strike unmanned aircraft systems to the United States. The authorization covers F10 systems made by F-Drones for the US Armed Forces, moving cooperation beyond separate components.
Qualification before the contract
The F10 participated in the Gauntlet I trials at Fort Benning in February 2026 through UDD Tech Corp. It placed sixth among 25 systems and entered the group of 11 successful platforms, after which a contract for production and delivery of 2,000 units was signed.
Exports can finance capacity
Foreign orders can bring investment, higher quality standards and industrial cooperation. The manufacturer says the US contract will not reduce deliveries to Ukraine’s Armed Forces; stable external finance is intended to expand total production capacity.
A shift in defense trade
Ukrainian companies supplied some FPV components to the United States in 2025, but the F10 authorization creates a precedent for complete operational systems. It also supports preparation of an intergovernmental framework for joint drone production and controlled defense exports.
