Ukraine renews grants for orchards and greenhouses

The restored program has already financed new projects in 2026, while additional support for storage and processing is being prepared

Ukraine’s restored grant program for orchards and greenhouses is already financing new agricultural projects in 2026. Fourteen agribusinesses have received more than 70 million hryvnias for planting new orchards and building greenhouse capacity since the beginning of the year. Since the program was launched in 2022, the state has supported more than 350 projects worth nearly 1.7 billion hryvnias.

The program was restarted in February 2026 and is open through the Diia portal. Both existing producers and newly created businesses can apply. The largest number of applications comes from Kyiv, Lviv and Zakarpattia regions, but grant recipients are represented across the country.

Updated conditions for producers

The 2026 rules were adjusted to make support more accessible. The maximum grant is now 400 thousand hryvnias per hectare for all crop types. Farms in frontline regions can receive state coverage for up to 80 percent of project costs, while producers in other regions continue under the standard co-financing model.

The orchard and greenhouse program is part of a wider support package for agriculture. Producers can also apply for processing grants of up to 8 million hryvnias to create higher-value products. A separate grant program for vegetable and fruit storage facilities is expected, with support of up to 20 million hryvnias.

For agribusiness, the logic is clear: Ukraine needs not only raw production, but storage, processing and more stable supply chains. Grants cannot replace private investment, but they can lower the entry barrier for farms that are ready to build capacity despite wartime risks.
