In the rating from the Ukrainian service for searching for flights and hotels “Momondo.ua”, Ukraine took 55th place out of 111

The company's analysts analyzed countries based on 22 factors in six different categories: travel, price, health and safety, remote work, entertainment, and weather. The best conditions for remote work turned out to be in Portugal. Ukraine overtook the USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Italy on the list.

“This country scored high in all categories, including great weather, a large number of places to stay, a low crime rate, and a relatively low cost of living. Portugal also offers a visa for digital nomads, and many locals have a high level of English proficiency, which attracts expats,” the experts explained.

The second and third places were awarded to Spain and Romania, respectively. The first state has many restaurants and cafes, good internet, numerous co-working spaces, and it is possible to get a visa for freelancers. On the other hand, Romania boasts low prices for apartment rentals and local food.

Why Ukraine found itself in the middle of the ranking. “Here are some of the lowest prices for renting hotels and apartments for a short time, the cost of travel and accommodation. There are also many opportunities for recreation for every taste, a variety of entertainment and cultural attractions,” analysts comment on our country.

The worst countries for telecommuting were the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, and the Maldives. Also uncomfortable for digital nomads will be in the Cayman Islands, Lebanon, Antigua and Barbuda, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Israel.
