On the threshold of a new stage of natural gas injection, most of the underground gas storage facilities of foreign partners are full, and this increases the interest in the vacant UGS of Ukraine. Our state has adequate opportunities to facilitate gas logistics from the Caspian region to the EU countries through cooperation with Azerbaijan in the direction of the Euro-Asian oil transport route. According to the deputy minister of energy of Ukraine, Mykola Kolisnyk, for this operation, Ukraine can use the capacity of the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline.
"For the operator of the USG of Ukraine, this is an opportunity to attract new customers of services at interstate connection points," Mykola Kolisnyk.
Ukraine is currently focused on developing cooperation with oil and gas partners from the EU, the USA, Turkey and Azerbaijan. This will not only help Ukraine gain new partners at international crossroads but also reduce the harmful influence of Russia in the south.
"We are interested in the implementation of the Southern gas corridor project and are ready to cooperate in the framework of diversification of natural gas supply routes," Kolisnyk.
Today, more than 1.100 international companies store their gas at UGS of Ukraine.
