On May 26, the solemn presentation of the Ukrainian development – boat Bucha. It was designed before the military invasion by the Russian Federation. The war made adjustments, but the military industry of Ukraine got only useful experience and still implemented the project. The small armoured boat was equipped with radar and, navigation equipment, cannons to defeat enemy targets. The "invisibility" of the ship became a feature of development. Ukrainian developers installed reflectors for visual optical-electronic, radar, and thermal imaging devices. But if Bucha is noticed, he will be protected by an armoured coating and a weapon guidance protection system, automatic smoke, or heat curtain.
This development officially became part of the navy of the armed forces of Ukraine. The boat was tested during the fight against the invaders in the Kyiv region in the spring of 2022. It is noted that Bucha was one of the first boats that defended the rivers in the Kyiv region.
An official ceremony was arranged for the presentation of the boat. Representatives of the naval forces attended it, commander-in-chief of the armed forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi, deputy minister of defence of Ukraine Volodymyr Havrylov, chief of the general staff of the armed forces Serhii Shaptala.
In addition to creating a river patrol on the Dnipro River, which will help fight enemy attacks and troop landings, a Ukrainian marine corps will be established throughout Ukraine. The president of Ukraine reported this. And this is another signal to the world that Ukraine will not cede its territory to the enemy.
