Ukraine Returned More 130 POWs

On 7 March, Ukraine returned home more defenders of Azovstal, Bakhmut and Soledar

The head of the president's office, Andrii Yrmak, gave information about the release of new people from Russian captivity. Amid the terrible tragedy of Timofii Shadura's prisoner of war, Ukraine managed to bring back the defenders from Bahmut and Soledar – 35  people. Also among the Ukrainian defenders who will finally return home are 87 fighters from Mariupol. Among them are 71 fighters from the Azovstal plant.

We remind you that the Ukrainian hero, Timofii Shadura, was one of Bakhmut's defenders. Glory to the hero. And those who executed him will be held accountable.

A total of 126 male defenders and 4 military women returned to Ukraine. The general summary says that 46 members of the Ukrainian armed forces, 21 soldiers of the Navy, 8 members of the territorial defence, 25 national guards, 23 border guards and 8 State Special Transport Service representatives returned home today. The youngest freed is 21, and the oldest is 64.

The government of Ukraine noted that most of the people who were released from Russian captivity today were seriously injured. Now the heroes will undergo a long process of testing and rehabilitation.
