On February 16, the 73rd Berlin Film Festival will begin. It will last 10 days and even include the Teddy After Show Party, which was not 2 years. The parties will forward the identification of the owners of the special award Teddy Award. The Ukrainian representative will also join in identifying the winners in this chain. It should be noted that the special prize is not part of the main program of the festival, but it is important in the present-day theme – problems of sexual minorities. By the way, Ukrainians are not for the first time members of the jury in the Teddy Award.
In 2023, from Ukraine to the judicial team elected the head of the program department of Sexuality matters Kyiv international festival of short films, the head of the section Teen Screen at the Ukrainian film festival Molodist Sasha Prokopenko. Prokopenko will watch and evaluate the films of the 37 th Teddy Award by February 24. The award ceremony will take place in the Berlin Free Theater of Folk Art.
