Ukrainian Became the Best Cyberplayer of the Decade

Oleksandr S1mple Kostyliev won the "IEM Rio Major 2022" and donated his $1,5 mln prize to the Ukrainian army 

The organization ESL Counter-Strike informed on Twitter that the winner of the IEM Rio Major 2022 tournament and thus the best player in decades was player S1mple. It is a Ukrainian Oleksandr Kostyliev, a member of the cyber-sports organization NAVI. Ukrainian team NAVI is considered one of the most talented among the world's cyber-players in the games Counter-Strike and Dota 2. 12 years ago, the team surprised the cyberworld for the first time in the history of CS:GO winning in the 3 largest world tournaments in a year. In 2021, Kostyliev was awarded the title of Best cyberathlete of the year.

This year the Ukrainian won the tournament with the participation of talented players from Denmark Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz and Sweden, Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg. Thus, Oleksandr has been recognized as the best player for decades in the video game Cs:Go by the Electronic Sports League.

Ukrainian journalists note that the "player of the decade" donated $1,5 million to the army of Ukraine after the beginning of a full-scale invasion by Russia.
