From September 28 to October 1, the Ukrainian festival Bouquet Kyiv Stage is scheduled in Oxford. Before the war, this festival was held in Kyiv and brought together representatives of the entire sphere of Ukrainian culture and art. In 2022, the festival will be held in Oxford and will be held in gratitude to the British for the support they provided to refugees from Ukraine. Oxford's Bouquet Kyiv Stage will include 7 classical music concerts, a photo exhibition War, a musical-visual performance and a fashion show.
"From the first day of the war, Great Britain has been providing Ukraine with great invaluable support. The Bouquet Kyiv Stage festival in Oxford is a gratitude to the British people," the organizer of the festival.
During the Bouquet Kyiv Stage, a concert by Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov, who will turn 85 on September 30, will take place. Silvestrov's works will be heard from the stage in the form of choral and piano music.
At the photo, the exhibition War will be presented photos of the destroyed Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Bucha, and Irpen. During the festival, it will be possible to get acquainted with the work of the Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko.
On the same day, the British choir Apollo5 will perform works by Ukrainian composers Victoria Poleva and Anna Kuzina-Rozhdestvenskaya. The concert will be closed by the Orchestra of St John's under the direction of John Lubbock.
Ticket prices are £10-40. All funds raised during the festival will be donated to the humanitarian needs of Ukraine.
