Ukrainian Engineers Develop Vehicles for Army of Drones

The Ministry of defence of Ukraine concluded a contract to purchase drones with 16 companies 

Defence minister Alexei Reznikov said that the country is ready to spend $500 million to buy drones for the army. According to the minister, the development of the Ukrainian market for unmanned aerial vehicles has become one of the main directions of the MoD. Now formed not only the first Ukraine drone army but also a powerful military potential. So the government made a deal with 16 Ukrainian drone manufacturers. It is known that these will be drones for various purposes: reconnaissance, combat, and correction.

Reznikov said that there were 75 requests for the contract. But specialists of the general staff of the Ukrainian armed forces selected only the best developments – among them there appeared 16 candidates. All companies have already concluded state contracts. Kyiv is ready to spend at least $500 million on the purchase of drones.

"This is just the beginning. It's not just about aerial reconnaissance. It's about developing a market for drones with a wide range of applications – air, land, and water. Drones will be able to hit the enemy, deliver combat kits, help in the evacuation of the wounded, etc," the minister of defence of Ukraine.
