Ukrainian Football Player Shevchenko Reminded About Ukraine at “Ballon D’or-2022”

Andriy Shevchenko urged to remember that war is continuing and it's important to stay beside Ukraine

On October 17, a solemn ceremony of presenting the Ballon D'or in France took place in France. The award ceremony was attended by the famous Ukrainian football player and coach Andriy Shevchenko, who was also awarded the Ballon D'or in 2004.

During his speech, Andriy Shevchenko urged the world to remember that the war in Ukraine is not over yet, and it is very important now to support our brave people.

"It has been a very difficult moment since the war started for all Ukrainian people. And I'm so proud of how my country defends and fights for freedom. I’ve been very involved in a lot of humanitarian and medical aid projects together with the United24 fundraising platform. Founder — is the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It's very important to remember: the war is still going. But most important — to stay beside Ukraine and help. Thank you so much," Andriy Shevchenko.

We remind you that Ukraine has applied to host the World Cup-2030.
