Ukrainian-Turkish Space Cooperation

On August 19 in Istanbul, minister of strategic industries Oleh Uruskiy met with Serdar Huseyin Yildirim, president of the Turkish space agency

The parties discussed possibilities of cooperation in the creation of space launchers and components, space monitoring and remote sensing of the Earth, creation of platforms for satellites, joint use of ground-based space infrastructure, production of delivery vehicles within the Lunar Program and much more.

"Cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey in the research and use of outer space is an area that opens up many opportunities for both countries. Over the last few years, the dialogue between our states has significantly intensified, aimed at defining and specifying the nature of possible cooperation," Urusky noted.

Ukraine is now at the final stage of approval of the State Scientific and Technical Space Program, which contains many potential areas for possible Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stressed that Ukraine is open to dialogue to find joint promising projects in the space sphere, which would bring benefits to both countries.
