This was announced by the rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Roman Nazarenko. The course was introduced to unite all Ukrainians. Note that the main population of Crimea are Tatars, and they await the peninsula's liberation from Russian occupation.
From now on, the Crimean Tatar language will be taught at the Institute of religion and society. The course provides 15 lectures per semester. It includes the study of language, Crimean Tatar culture and excursions related to the history of this segment of society. At the end of the course, all students will receive a certificate under the ECTS assessment system.
In addition, the Ukrainian Ministry of education is working on creating the national corps of the Crimean Tatar language. Implementing the project means introducing the language to online translators and computer interfaces in Ukraine.
