A representative of UNESCO will work in the office of the coordinator of the UN system in Ukraine. Head of the national commission of Ukraine for UNESCO, first deputy minister of foreign affairs Emine Ceppar told about her colleague's long, unprecedented trip. Bardeschi worked in Egypt, Namibia, Cameroon, and Lebanon. From mid-November 2022, a specialist in the preservation of architecture will be born in Ukraine and work on the preservation of cultural heritage. Also, Chiara Bardeschi will do everything necessary for the early recovery of Ukraine.
Already now, UNESCO employees in Ukraine are developing a document on the strategy of the national commission of Ukraine for UNESCO. The main mission of the new document is to attract resources and investors to restore the culture of Ukraine. Representatives of UNESCO have in mind the construction and reconstruction of schools, national parks, and monuments and support of Ukrainian media.
"We managed to achieve the formalization of the institutional presence of UNESCO in our country. Thanks for this decisive step to the organization's general director Audrey Azoulay," said Emine Ceppar.
Chiara Bardeschi is determined to help the country that suffered from Russian aggression. She has already visited Odessa to consider the city's inclusion in the UNESCO cultural heritage list. Professor of architecture protection daily learns one Ukrainian word. The first word was "dignity," because that's what Bardeski admires in Ukrainians.
We remind you that because of its crimes against the cultural heritage of Ukraine, Russia might be excluded from UNESCO.
