The US Treasury department reported on the measures taken against Iran for supporting Russian terrorism. 3 Iranian companies that produced and sold drones for Russia to wage war against Ukraine and companies that coordinated military routes to deliver weapons to Russia were subject to sanctions.
"Russia is making an increasingly desperate choice to continue an unprovoked war against Ukraine, especially in the face of our unprecedented sanctions and export controls," Brian Nelson, deputy Treasury secretary for terrorism and financial intelligence.
"The United States is committed to strict enforcement of our sanctions against Russia and Iran and to holding Iran and those who support Russia's war of conquest against Ukraine accountable," Brian Nelson.
"We will also not hesitate to target manufacturers and suppliers assisting Iran and its drone program, further demonstrating our determination to continue to go after terrorist minions destabilizing the Middle East," Brian Nelson.
According to Brian Nelson, other organizations outside of Iran and outside of Russia should be especially careful about the issue of craft to avoid supporting the production of Iranian drones, which will later be used against Ukraine.
These companies were sanctioned: Safiran Airport Services (Tehran), Paravar Pars Company, Design and manufacturing of aircraft engines and Baharestan kish. Also under the sanctions were the managing director of the Baharestan kish company and a member of the board of directors, Rahmatullah Heydari.
We remind you that Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed that, for now, the United States will not recognize Russia as a country sponsoring terrorism. However, the state has already introduced measures against Russia similar to those against a terrorist country.
At the same time, some of the missiles that Russia received from Iran are incapacitated.
