US to Provide Additional $2 Billion for Military Support to Ukraine, Announces Blinken

During a joint press conference in Kyiv with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken declared an additional $2 billion in military support for Ukraine

The announcement, made on May 15 and broadcast via the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Facebook page, specifies that the funds will be channeled through the foreign military funding mechanism.

Blinken emphasized, "We have a package, and aid from it is already en route. Indeed, some has already arrived. Additionally, I want to disclose today that we will provide an extra $2 billion in foreign military funding for Ukraine."

This funding will enable Ukraine to procure necessary armaments and bolster its military-industrial complex, enhancing its capacity to produce more weaponry. Furthermore, the financial aid can be utilized by Ukraine to acquire weapons from other countries, broadening the scope of its defensive capabilities.
