On December 14, the press service of the embassy of Ukraine in Italy reported that journalist Anastasiia Blyshchyk received recognition of the Italian edition Il Foglio — the Person of the Year.
This is not solely due to woman’s professional ability to defend the country in the information space. In addition, Anastasiia Blyshchyk found great courage and entered military service. This was the path taken by a young woman after the occupiers killed her fiance Oleksandr Makhov. Now the journalist destroys Russian propaganda with her own hands and with her own words.
The death of a brave journalist Oleksandr Makhov was not in vain. Kharkiv region is almost liberated from the Russian army. The president of Ukraine awarded the journalist with the order "for courage" of the III degree posthumously and renamed one of the streets of Kyiv to his honour. Anastasiia Blyshchyk became bold, and the world appreciated it.
Ukrainians are even willing to fight for their freedom through pain. The president is ready to fight for his people. In 2022, the whole world recognized this.
