On February 8, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting in France. The support and reading of the French government already marks his business visit to the Elysee palace. This is evidenced by the announcement of the president of France Emmanuel Macron on Twitter.
Macron presented the order of the Legion of Honour to the head of the Ukrainian state. This award is considered the highest in France and is intended for people with significant military and civilian achievements.
"Honor of Ukraine and its people. Honour you, dear Volodymyr, for courage and dedication," writes the president of France.
In addition, Emmanuel Macron confirmed his readiness to help Ukraine in the war and further, to build a modern country after the war and to fight for justice for the Ukrainian people. Zelenskyy pointed out that the French president had opened a supply of tanks to the front, and this was important in terms of support and warfare.
Today, February 9, both heads of state are going together to the European Council summit in Brussels.
