474 Inhabitants of the Kherson Region Are Still in Russian Captivity

Sinse February 24, the Russians abducted 1.100 Kherson residents for further blackmail and manipulation of the Ukrainian side

Since the beginning of the war, Russian invaders have kidnapped 1.100 residents of the Kherson region. All these Ukrainians are representatives of local authorities, deputies, clergymen, and elders of settlements. The Russians kidnapped each of them to force them to go over to the enemy side. According to the press secretary of the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, Anastasia Vesilovska, as of January 2, 2023, 474 representatives of this region are still in Russian captivity. Their whereabouts are still unknown.

The Ukrainian side opened several investigations into the case of Russian abductions of Ukrainians. Each of them will be added to the Hague case of Putin and all those involved in Russian war crimes.
