On November 4, Zelenskyy held talks with representatives of the government apparatus of Ukraine and a delegation from the United States led by Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
The president, through an adviser, thanked Joe Biden for supporting Ukraine in its darkest time. Representatives of the parties discussed the mutual cooperation of the states on the path of liberation of Ukrainian lands from occupation, protection of critical infrastructure, strengthening sanctions and providing humanitarian assistance.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Jake Sullivan "for significant personal merits in strengthening interstate cooperation, support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine" and presented him with the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise II. Sullivan noted that he was honoured to receive this award. We remind you that Ursula von der Leyen was previously awarded the same order.
Amanda Sloat, senior director of the US National Security Council for Europe, was also awarded the award: Zelenskyy presented her with the Order of Merit, III degree.
After negotiations on the DoD website, information appeared on the allocation of additional military assistance to Ukraine for $400 million.
