ARX and Roboneers will produce ground robots for Ukraine in Germany

The joint venture ARX Industries is expected to scale Rys Pro platforms for logistics, evacuation and frontline support

German company ARX Robotics and Ukrainian company Roboneers have announced a joint venture, ARX Industries, to produce unmanned ground robotic systems for Ukraine. The project is focused on serial production of the Rys Pro platform at a new site in Germany.

The partners say the plant should help meet strong demand for battlefield robotics and support Ukraine’s target of supplying 50,000 ground robotic systems to the armed forces in 2026. During the first year, the facility is expected to produce thousands of units, with later expansion toward tens of thousands of robots annually.

What the robots are expected to do

The platforms are intended for casualty evacuation, frontline logistics, delivery of specialized modules for mine laying and demining, and combat support tasks. Production is also planned in Ukraine, while ARX Industries will cover maintenance and service support, not only assembly.

The core value of the project is scale. Ground robots can reduce direct exposure of personnel while keeping supplies, evacuation and engineering tasks moving closer to the front line.

The project is being developed under the Build with Ukraine program with support from the governments of Ukraine and Germany.
