At Least 271.045 Ukrainians Become Homeless

As part of the assistance program for residents of the affected regions, Ukrainians began to apply for the restoration of housing

The state program for the restoration of Ukraine in the post-war period came into force. Citizens of Ukraine whose houses were destroyed by the Russian horde can apply through the Diia app. The application must indicate the region of Ukraine, the area of housing destroyed by Russians, and the number of residents.

96.329 seized the opportunity and, at the same time, provided the state with statistics. Diia's data show that at least 271,045 citizens of Ukraine were left without their homes and apartments.

Based on the housing registered in Diia, Russia destroyed 6.762.628 m2 of living space. Donetsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions suffered the most.

We remind you that Ukraine needs $7 billion a month to compensate for the damage caused by Russia. Naturally, Russia will pay reparations to Ukraine. Including the means of Russian oligarchs blocked by sanctions
