Cardiac Surgeons Seized a Fragment of a Projectile From the Heart of a Ukrainian

Doctors from the Khmelnytskyi region rescued the military by removing a fragment of a mine from the heart

The Dnipro region has been a front-line zone since 2014. But since 2022, this region feels the danger not only from the offensive in the Donetsk region but also from the direction of Zaporizhia and Kharkiv. It is common in these areas to be injured by Russian weapons. That is what happened with the Ukrainian defender. He was urgently delivered to the Khmelnytskyi regional cardiovascular centre. There, doctors performed a complex operation and removed a metal fragment from the heart, more than 1 cm in diameter. Now the military is alive and recovering in a rehabilitation centre.

"Defender of Ukraine, resident of Ternopil in 1985, received mine and explosive injuries during the fighting in the Dnipro region. Among other things, a metal fragment in the heart," said recently at the Khmelnytskyi RCC.

Surprisingly, members of the Ukrainian armed forces, even after severe injuries, are ready to fight for the country.

And to great grief, not all the hearts of the Ukrainian soldiers, little girls and boys, were saved. Ukrainians are dying en masse from heart attacks.
