Extra Military Assistance Ukraine-Finland for €55.6 Mln

A new batch of defence and humanitarian aid was being prepared taking into account the requests of the government and the army of Ukraine

On November 17, the Ministry of defence of Finland published information about allocating another military assistance package to Ukraine. President Sauli Niinistö approved the parliament's proposal on the tenth tranche for Ukraine. The total cost of all military and humanitarian aid that Ukraine has already received from Finland is €160.4 million.

"Ukraine continues to need support in defending its territory. The range of defence equipment now being sent is the largest so far," minister of defence Antti Kaikkonen.

For obvious reasons, and in order to deliver valuable cargo in integrity and on time, the government does not disclose information about the exact contents of the package, terms and routes of delivery. However, Ukraine can definitely count on materiel assistance, which was prepared considering the requests of Ukraine's government and the needs of our state's Armed Forces.

In addition, Finland implements all EU sanctions against Russia, blocks Russians' funds and real estate on its territory, and trains Ukrainian soldiers.
