“Financial Rammstein” for Ukraine

On 26 January, Ukraine held a meeting with the allies of the financial coordination platform of donors

Ukrainian prime minister Denys Shmyhal held online talks with representatives of countries that supported the country during the war. The financial Ramstein touched upon the issues of financing Ukraine in the conditions of war and its post-war recovery.

In 2023, the country will function thanks to domestic business and rhythmic budget support. It is now known that the US and the European Union have transferred almost $30 billion to Ukraine. Also, Ukraine will close the deficit gap with IMF assistance.

"Grateful to the allies for supporting Ukraine and helping to find new effective forms of solidarity with our state," wrote Shmyhal in Telegram.

During the online meeting, it was also possible to identify the main priorities of the country's recovery:

  • Energy financing;
  • Humanitarian demining;
  • Financing the rehabilitation of shelter, critical and social infrastructure.

The country must be rebuilt now in order to eliminate the energy and other types of crisis exacerbated by the aggressor.
