Over the past time, Russia has had too much force majeure with gas. For example, a gas pipeline that was "closed for repairs" and will not open until the EU lifts sanctions on Russia. Also, Russia does not use gas storage facilities leased in other countries. Such a policy of the Kremlin became a challenge for Germany, so the authorities decided to exclude the launch of Nord Stream-2. This was stated by the official representative of the German cabinet of ministers, Steffen Hebeshtreit.
"It is clear that difficult months are ahead of us, that the reduction of gas supplies from Russia to Germany is a challenge for all of us," Steffen Hebestreit.
According to Hebestreit, the state government has taken several regulatory measures, including constructing an LNG regasification terminal.
