World Central Kitchen takes care of not only people but also animals in Ukraine. The ex-CEO of WCK now cares about Ukrainian animals, who are also affected by the war, and raises money for food and shelter for fluffy paws. The organization recently organized a volunteer centre for animals in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. The next morning after opening a hot meal counter for homeless animals, a queue of dogs was lined. The quadrupeds, like humans, stood behind each other, waiting for volunteers to come and feed them.
"I've never seen anything like this. Yesterday we installed a displaced pet feeding station in Kramatorsk (with your support!). This morning, the Ukrainian dogs waited in line to eat," wrote Nate Muk.
The international humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen has been helping the Ukrainian people since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Volunteers from different countries, and Ukrainian assistants, organized food preparation and distribution points for refugees from Ukraine, as well as for internally displaced persons. Volunteers also feed people on the front-line and occupied territories. We remind you that in the initiative participate Japanese director Cary Fukunaga and actors Liev Schreiber and Richard Gere participated.
