On October 5, Czech defence minister Jana Cernochova announced the continuation of assistance to Ukraine. Prague is not afraid of the threats and consequences of supporting Ukraine, so it will provide it with military assistance, which belongs to the class of heavy weapons. However, the politician did not tell the details. Countries close to Ukraine prefer to keep secret the route, date of delivery, and the amount and type of assistance.
The Czech government has already approved the military assistance package. It is noted that Czechia previously supplied Ukraine with tanks (1 of them was bought by citizens of the country), helicopters, drones, guns, and rocket launchers. The total amount of aid to Kyiv was $4.2 billion.
In Prague, it is believed that the war unleashed by Russia may contribute to the return of the Czech defence industry to its highest levels (roughly, such as in the 1920s and 1930s).
