In the Russian war, the Mykolaiv region remains dangerous – it borders on the Kherson and Zaporizhia districts, partially occupied by the occupiers. However, UNICEF has continued to perform established functions since 1946. The specialised structure headed by the UN has opened 4 centres for child development Spilno in the Mykolaiv region. This was reported in the regional council. 2 centres work in Mykolaiv, 1 in Voznesensk, a branch in Bashtanka was also recently opened. UNICEF has organised professional educators, animators, and psychologists in each space. Children will be able to attend creative classes, training, and game halls. Children's centres are open daily from 9 am to 6 pm.
UNICEF also launched the Spilno project in other regions of Ukraine. Small Ukrainians can develop and feel the joy of childhood despite the conditions that have arisen due to the war at the railway station in Lviv and Drohobych (Lviv region), as well as in the capital of Ukraine.
