The Norwegian State roads administration has allocated humanitarian aid to the state road agency of Ukraine Ukravtodor. Soon, 10 acrow/bailey bridges will be delivered to Ukraine, which will be installed instead of the bridges destroyed by the Russian war. It is known that acrow/bailey structures can withstand heavy transport, so Ukraine will be able to not only communicate with these settlements by road but also launch ambulances and repair vehicles, humanitarian cargo (food/water/medicines) there. In addition, Ukrainians in these settlements will finally be able to evacuate if they wish.
On December 13, the first batch of bridges was already sent to Ukraine.
Earlier, Czechia, France and Germany have already transferred bridges and equipment for repairing bridges to Ukraine.
