Poland and Great Britain have joined forces to restore a roof over the head of those Ukrainians who fled the war in their hometown to a safer region of Ukraine. The UK has allocated ₤10 million to build modular settlements for internally displaced people. With the help of Polish technologies, settlements of modular houses will be located in the Poltava and Lviv regions and can shelter about 700 Ukrainians (approximately 250 families).
Moreover, the states have united to provide generators that will provide heat and electricity to schools and hospitals in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson. This initiative cost Poland and Great Britain ₤2.6 million.
Currently, similar modular towns, built on the initiative of Poland, the USA, Czechia, and France, have been located in many cities of the Kyiv, Lviv, and Chernivtsi regions.
