Generators will support train stations throughout the country

On October 25, the state-owned railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia reported on the receipt of assistance from the international committee Red Cross. The railway carrier received the current in the conditions of energy terrorism, assistance — 32 generators. Assistance received under the joint energy independence program. The devices will be transferred to the railway stations of regional centres and towns. It is already known that generators are directed to Zaporizhzhia, Krivyy Rih, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, Lviv, Cherkasy and other cities with large passenger traffic.

Ukraine received 154 water heaters together with generators. They have also been distributed among the stations. At present, the equipment that will provide the rest room and cabins for mothers with children with the uninterrupted hot water supply at the stations was enough for 79 places.

In addition to the generators, within the framework of the humanitarian program, the Red Cross helps to organize heating points at the stations. In special locations, all those who want to take coffee, tea, and the opportunity to be in a warm room. It is especially relevant for internally displaced persons who have a large route, green corridors, etc. Within the framework of humanitarian aid, the Red Cross spent $325.000.
