On June 21, the ambassadors of the EU countries adopted the 11th package of sanctions against Russia. Initially, the package was expected to include an embargo on importing Russian pipeline gas. However, the conditions softened, and the methods of suppressing the circumvention of sanctions remained.
"Today, the EU Ambassadors agreed on the 11th package of sanctions against Russia. The package includes measures aimed at countering sanctions circumvention and individual listings," Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian group of Yermak-McFaul had a hand in the formation of this package. Previously, the G7 agreed to redouble their efforts to cut off all opportunities for Russia to obtain foreign components for the production of missiles.
