Europe editor of Radio Liberty Rikard Jozwiak said on Twitter that the European Commission is ready to start discussions on the admission of Ukraine to the European Union.
"European Commission set to come with an update on EU accession statuses for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia in May. A proper enlargement report is expected in October. So 6 months to go but working assumption right now: recommendation to start accession talks with Ukraine/Moldova and candidate status for Georgia," Rikard Jozwiak.
We remind you that on June 23, 2022, Ukraine received the status of a candidate for the European Union and a list of recommendations necessary for integration. As of the end of March 2023, Ukraine has implemented 72% of the recommendations.
