2 grain terminals have been destroyed in the ports Odesa and Chernomorsk, Odesa region. These ports are included in the grain agreement, which must guarantee the safety of these ports and all its goods/infrastructure. The occupying forces launched missiles and Shahed-136/131 drones. According to the official data of the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia has sent 63 strike units to the facilities specified in the trilateral agreement on the export of grain. Among them were Iranian drones and missiles fired from the sea, land, and air. Ukrainian defenders managed to eliminate only 37 enemy targets. The remaining Russian strike aircraft burnt 60.000 tons of grain. This grain, as well as objects, were involved in the new agreement and intended for export.
"The attack on grain terminals is an act of aggression against the world. Russian terrorists aim to destroy any way of supplying grain to world markets. The terrorist State is at war not only with Ukraine but also with the people of Africa and Asia, for whom this grain is a matter of survival. The world should protect grain and port infrastructure," Oleksandr Kubrakov, minister of development of the territories and infrastructure of Ukraine.
The minister added that in the affected territories were international and Ukrainian carriers CMA CGM Group, Kernel, and Vand iterra.
On July 18, Russia also attacked the port infrastructure. On July 17, the aggressor country refused to extend the "grain agreement" and withdrew from the deal with Kyiv, Ankara and the UN. Some countries suggested ways to address problems that might arise from the termination of the treaty. However, Russia decided to burn everything related to the grain green corridor.
People like to say that history repeats itself. And countries know how much more terrible the consequences of a new hunger initiated by the Kremlin will be.
