The Poles Launched Crowdfunding for Evacuation Helicopters for Ukraine

Citizens of the country, which recently gathered for "Bayraktar" for Ukrainians, are already opening a fundraiser for "Mi2AM1" helicopters

Poland became one of the first countries to extend a helping hand to Ukraine on February 24. After all, it was primarily to Poland that Ukrainians fled the war.

Immediately after collecting 22.5 million zlotys for Bayraktars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Poles launched crowdfunding Zbroimy Ukraine (Arm Ukraine), the purpose of which is the purchase of 3 Mi2AM1 helicopters for the evacuation of wounded Ukrainians.

"Thanks to these helicopters, it will be possible to evacuate the wounded faster and provide them with the necessary medical assistance since they have the necessary medical equipment. Every minute gained is important and gives doctors an advantage in the fight for the life of the wounded," the campaign page states.

As reported by the initiators of Zbroimy Ukraine, the platform was created for regular gatherings for the necessary equipment, weapons, etc for Ukraine.

"Arm Ukraine is an action of cyclical fundraising for equipment for the Ukrainian army, which will help defend Ukraine in the face of a bandit attack by Russia," it is noted on the official Facebook page of the Polish public initiative.

As of today, there are 1.2 million Ukrainian refugees in Poland. More than 252.000 Ukrainians are already employed.

We remind you that for helping Ukrainians in this dark time, Ukraine granted Poles a special status on the territory of our state.
