On February 17, the international art exhibition Module of temporality will be launched in Kyiv. 25 artists from all over the world will present their works, including the Portuguese Alexandre Fartu. Known as Vhils in the street art world, he works in his own technique of paper on wet plaster. To MOT Vhils will bring a portrait of Ukrainian hero Serhiy Nigoyan, created from patriotic posters that began to be hung in Ukraine after a full-scale Russian attack on our country in February 2022.
"For this exhibition, I created billboard artworks depicting exceptionally significant figures from Ukraine's recent history, expressing core values of peace, freedom, equality and human rights. One of the figures depicted is Serhiy Nigoyan, who was the first Euromaidan activist to have been killed during the dignity revolution on Hrushevskoho street on 22 January 2014. I carved this same image onto a wall in Kyiv back in 2015 as an homage to all the protesters who sacrificed their lives in the name of equality and freedom," Vhils.
The artist's works are also on the walls of London, Lisbon, Berlin, Paris and Shanghai.
