Ukraine Granted Citizenship to Nevzorov Spouses

"For outstanding services to our country," president Zelenskyy granted citizenship to a Russian historian and his wife

It is known that Alexander Nevzorov is one of the few Russians who, from the very beginning of the war, called it what it is and immediately sided with Ukraine. One of the millions who in all his channels told the truth about the war and enlightened the Russians that Russia never "liberates" but, on the contrary, kills. The only one in the whole country, Nevzorov spoke about how the Russian "army" bombed a maternity hospital in Mariupol.

"Thank you, Alexander and Lydia, for your courage and honesty. For a sincere desire to help stop the war and a true assessment of the real situation," Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the minister of internal affairs of Ukraine.

For the enlightenment activities, the investigative committee of Russia opened a criminal case against Nevrozov for "discrediting" the Russian armed forces. And on June 3, Ukraine granted citizenship to the Nevzorov couple.

"About Ukrainian citizenship. Without many words. Everything is straightforward. What is the war in Ukraine? (If you wash away political and national rhetoric from the event). It is a crime. There is a criminal, and there is a victim of a crime. There is a killer, and there is someone he kills or tries to kill. The perpetrator is Russia. The victim is Ukraine. It cannot be disputed or refuted. It is a fact. Well, then everyone makes their choice: to help the criminal or save his victim. If each of the 140 million Russians had shielded Ukraine against the wall, then there would be no Bucha, no Mariupol, there would not be hundreds of thousands of corpses and those millions of deaths that the idea of a crazy dictator would still cost. Yes, standing next to someone who is being shot is not always comfortable. Probably easier to stand in a line of executioners. Everyone makes his own choice. It is important to understand that there is no third option. I take the side of the victim. And I am damn grateful to those tormented, desperate, bloody people of Ukraine that allowed me to take my place among them," Alexander Nevzorov.
