Ukraine and Serbia are preparing a business forum in Belgrade that is meant to turn political contacts into practical company-level cooperation. A Ukrainian business delegation is expected to visit the Serbian capital on May 19-21, 2026, during the visit of Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka.
The Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said the forum will be the main business event of the trip. Its purpose is direct talks between companies, new contacts and discussion of sectors where cooperation can move quickly from interest to contracts.
Practical sectors are in focus
The mission is aimed at companies from agribusiness, fertilizer production, construction, electrical engineering, agricultural machinery, energy and related industries. The program includes B2B meetings with Serbian firms, visits to enterprises, partner search and talks on joint projects.
For Ukrainian companies, Serbia is interesting not only as a separate market. It can also work as a logistics and production hub for access to the Western Balkans, including North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and other regional markets.
The most practical areas may include food processing, construction materials, energy equipment, agricultural machinery, electrical products, logistics and industrial cooperation. Serbian companies may also find opportunities in the recovery of Ukrainian infrastructure, energy facilities and production sites.
The role of the Ukrainian Chamber gives the mission an institutional channel for certification issues, partner verification, logistics, B2B communication and support for joint projects. If the forum produces concrete follow-up, it could make Ukraine-Serbia economic relations more operational and expand the presence of Ukrainian business in South-Eastern Europe.
