On March 12, a new crop company was launched in Ukraine. Prime minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said it is the country's second sowing in the year of the war. Despite the fighting, Ukraine continues to perform normal functions and even develops relations for the simplified export of crops.
Data from the Ministry of agrarian policy indicate a 25% decrease in the area under cultivation. The reason is the occupation of Ukrainian territories by Russian troops. However, all other fields are processed and ready to grow crops. Since the beginning of the second planting, 16 hectares of cereals and pulses have been planted.
Also, according to the prime minister, Ukraine is working on improving the grain initiative. It is known that one of the directions of development is the expansion of trans-shipment through the Danube ports. To this end, Ukraine and Poland initially concluded a treaty on simplified border crossing for agricultural products. This treaty speeds up the redirection of Ukrainian grain to the Danube passes.
Note that last year, with the loss of 25% of the territories, 14 million ha of Ukrainian land were planted. Also in 2022, a crisis was caused by Russian takeovers, shelling, and blocking of grain exports. But even during the difficult period Ukrainian grain was collected, transferred to Ukrainian people, and for export according to the agreements. Therefore 2023 for sowing procedures and grain delivery to customers should not be a crisis.
