On October 19, Lloyd Austin met with his Croatian colleague Mario Banožić in Washington. After the meeting, the head of the Pentagon announced Zagreb's decision to transfer all its Mі-8 helicopters, which are currently at service in the MoD of Croatia. These Soviet-made helicopters can perform many tasks: maximum flight speed – 250 km/h. How many vehicles have already been transferred to Ukraine and will be sent is not reported.
In addition, Croatia will continue to provide other types of assistance and weapons while Ukraine struggles to liberate territories from Russian occupation.
"We appreciate Croatia's unwavering commitment to assisting Ukraine, and we see this in your many donations of military equipment, including all your Mi-8 helicopters," Lloyd Austin said.
Lately, the decision to give Ukraine all their different weapon and vehicles has been announced in Estonia, Latvia, Netherlands and Slovakia.
