On May 9, 2022, US president Joe Biden signed the lend-lease law. In accordance with the law, Ukraine will receive weapons under special conditions and without bureaucratic delays. The law expands the powers of the president of the United States in providing military assistance to Ukraine without Congressional approval. Weapons, equipment and ammunition will be transferred to Ukraine on the terms of return or redemption after the war. In case of the destruction of equipment during military operations, Ukraine is released from the obligation to reimburse the equipment cost.
Lend-lease is a powerful advantage in the war against Russia, which has so far secured only Iranian drones. According to experts, lend-lease will turn the tide of the war, like in its time, in 1945.
