Lithuania Completed the Wall With Belarus

A 502-km wall with cutting wire now separates Lithuania and the Russian missile launching country

Lithuanian prime minister Ingrida Simonyte said in an interview with Baltic News Service that the construction of a wall designed to protect the country from illegal migration had been completed. The physical barrier, braided with barbed wire, has a length of 520 km. We remind you that the construction of the wall began in July.

"The work has been completed 100%, and now only separate work is underway to eliminate deficiencies and organizational to streamline documentation. Today I can be glad that the project was completed on time and within the budget," Ingrida Simonyte.

The minister added that one wall is not capable of being full-fledged protection against illegal entry into the country. Therefore, the state is also developing and will implement IT solutions for monitoring the situation in the border zone.

We remind you that Poland also completed the construction of a wall along the border with Belarus.
