Ramstein: New Aid Package for Ukraine

Lithuania sends to Ukraine more tanks, blasting systems and radars

The Lithuanian defence minister Arvydas Anusauskas participates in a meeting on assistance to Ukraine in the Ramstein format. Recall that a Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting was held on September 19.

During the meeting, Anushauskas, with his Ukrainian colleague, the new mod of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. Politicians discussed the needs at the military front; special attention was paid to the location of the territories. Notably, during an offline meeting in Germany, the minister of defence of Lithuania joined the Declaration of support for Ukraine by the IT coalition and announced a new package of military assistance. This time, military aid from Litva includes:

  • Ammunition for the anti-tank grenade launcher Carl Gustaf;
  • Blasting systems;
  • Marine surveillance radars.

A previous aid package from a friendly country was announced in late August. Its cost amounted to more than €40 million.

Finally, Arvydas Anusauskas urged Ramstein participants to contribute to the security of Ukraine by conducting training or continuing to provide equipment and financial assistance.
